Landslides reported in Pathanamthitta as heavy rains continued. No casualties have been reported. A red alert has been declared in Pathanamthitta tonight. Pathanamthitta’s Mundu Kottakkal town recorded 20.8 mm of heavy rainfall today. This is not an official figure.

The landslide occurred on the slopes of Kotta Tatti hill in the fourth ward of Elanthoor village in Kozhencherry taluk. Four families living nearby have been shifted to a safer place.

It is raining heavily in the state. A red alert has been sounded in Pathanamthitta as there is a possibility of heavy rains. Pathanamthitta’s Kunnamthanam received 117.4 mm rainfall in three hours.
