A major accident in Switzerland. The country was shocked to hear the news that a train carrying 80 passengers derailed after an iceberg collapsed. The accident occurred in Goppenstein, Valais. The train was a BLS company.
The accident occurred at around 7 am today. Several passengers were injured. About 30 people were rescued by ambulance and helicopter and taken to various hospitals. Train services were suspended following the accident. 

Warning had been issued

The Swiss Federal Institute had warned of the risk of danger here the other day. The warning stated that the melting of the glaciers was at an alarming rate.
The advance warning is still ongoing in many parts. In Switzerland, the cold is increasing in the Alps and heavy snow melting is widespread.

The temperature in Switzerland is very low. Temperatures are down to -4 °C in many places, with the Alps continuing to experience lows and severe cold.
