In these districts too, the temperature will cross 40; Yellow alert in 12 districts today
With the onset of summer in Kerala, temperatures are likely to rise in more districts. In Palakkad district, the temperature has been above 40 degrees for the last few days. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that the temperature will cross 40 degree Celsius in other districts as well.
Apart from Palakkad and Kollam districts, thrissur, Malappuram, Pathanamthitta, Kannur, Kozhikode and Kasaragod districts are also likely to see a rise in temperature up to 40 degrees Celsius in the coming days.
Yellow alert has been declared in 12 districts today in the wake of rising temperatures. The alert has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts.
