UAE to see partly cloudy skies, rain, heavy fog
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has warned of partly cloudy weather and rain in some parts of the northern and eastern regions of the UAE. The weather department has also forecast a temporary increase in temperatures. Humid conditions are expected in the interior from tonight to Friday morning. The wind will blow from the southwest to the northwest at light to moderate. At night, it may strengthen from 10 to 25 km/h at sea to 40 km/h. The meteorological centre also warns that there is a possibility of fog on Saturday morning due to increased humidity at night.
Seas likely to be rough
Although the sea in the Arabian Sea is usually light to moderate, it is likely to become rough late at night. Similarly, there may be occasional turbulence in the Sea of Oman. The country will continue to experience cloudy weather on Friday, with rain and a significant drop in temperature. The weather bulletin released by the NCM also states that the weather will improve by the weekend and will turn into clear skies and calm seas by Sunday. There is a possibility of humid conditions and light fog at night and on Monday morning.
Heatwave eases, expatriates can take comfort
In the past few days, many places have experienced severe cold. However, the heat has eased significantly. The weather in the UAE is currently going through a state known as "Dafwat Al Talaa". This is a relatively warm weather experienced during the winter. This phenomenon usually occurs with the beginning of the month of "Dar Al Sabeen", which lasts from January 25 to February 4. During this period, the temperature will rise significantly compared to the previous days.
