An earthquake of 5 on the Richter scale struck Indonesia

An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale was felt in Indonesia.The Indonesian Meteorological Center reported that the earthquake occurred in Indonesia’s eastern province of North Maluku on Saturday evening.
But authorities said the earthquake did not have the capacity to generate giant waves. Last November, 602 people were killed in a 5.6-magnitude earthquake in West Lava province. Last April 3, there was a 6.1 magnitude earthquake in the island of Sumatra, Indonesia.
