Low pressure and cyclonic circulation:

Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely in south and central Kerala

The low pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal and landfall yesterday at odisha coast witch reached over Jharkhand today. The monsoon trough and its southern end lay in normal position. Due to this, there is a possibility of isolated heavy rains in central and southern Kerala today (22/09/23).

Low pressure and cyclonic circulation

Along with this, a cyclonic circulation has also formed in the Kanyakumari Sea (Comorean sea) at an altitude of 3.1 km above mean sea level. Observers at Metbeat Weather says this could cause heavy rainfall in the eastern region of central and southern kerala districts.
