MUSCAT : After careful analysis of weather pattern in Oman, The National Multi Hazard Early Warning Center forecast heavy rain and thunder possible over sultanate
An atmospheric disturbance (depression) that is anticipated to impact Oman’s skies starting Today evening, November 24th, until Sunday, November 26th, 2023. The forecast predicts the formation and movement of clouds, signalling an increased likelihood of thunderstorms of varying intensity accompanied by hailstones across several regions.
The weather pattern is projected to initiate on Friday evening in the Musandam Governorate and gradually extend to Al Batinah North, Al Batinah South, Muscat, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Sharqiyah North, and Al Sharqiyah South on Saturday.
The severity of these conditions is expected to focus along the coasts of the Sea of Oman, the Hajar Mountains, and the adjacent areas. The Civil Aviation Authority urges all residents and travellers to exercise caution during rainfall, potential flash floods, and reduced visibility.
