Myanmar was shaken by its third consecutive tremor of more than magnitude 4.5 three hours after the second one, which occurred at 2:53 a.m. IST. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported on Thursday that Yangon, Myanmar, was struck by an earthquake of magnitude 4.5.
The earthquake struck at 5:43:00 IST. It was reported to be 48 km deep.
“A 4.5-magnitude earthquake occurred on June 22, 2023, at 05:43:00 IST, Lat: 15.32 & Long: 96.56, Depth: 48 Km, Place: “174 kilometers south-southeast of Yangon, Myanmar,” NCS tweeted.
At 02:52:08 IST, the second quake with a magnitude of 4.2 occurred earlier. It was reported to be 10 km deep.
“A 4.2-magnitude earthquake occurred on June 22, 2023, at 02:52:08 IST, Lat: 15.40 & Long: 96.19, Depth: 10 Km, Place: The NCS tweeted, “160 kilometers south of Yangon, Myanmar.”
At 02:52:08 IST, the second quake with a magnitude of 4.2 occurred earlier. It was reported to be 10 km deep.
“A 4.2-magnitude earthquake occurred on June 22, 2023, at 02:52:08 IST, Lat: 15.40 & Long: 96.19, Depth: 10 Km, Place: The NCS tweeted, “160 kilometers south of Yangon, Myanmar.”
At 23:56:23 IST, the first one struck Yangon, Myanmar.
“A 4.4-magnitude earthquake occurred on June 21, 2023, at 23:56:23 IST, Lat: 14.83 & Long: 96.56, Depth: 25 Km, Place: 227 kilometers south of Yangon, Myanmar,” the NCS tweeted. There have been no casualties reported as of yet. More information was needed.
