6.3 magnitude quake hit Japan, rescue underway

 A tremor of magnitude 6.3 hit in Japan on Friday. The Earthquake were felt in the central Ishikawa region. 

According to the Japan Meteorological Department, the earthquake occurred at 2:42 pm. The depth of the earthquake was recorded at 10 km below the earth’s surface.
Following the quake in the Ishikawa region, local authorities have assessed the damage and are examining destroyed buildings. The Meteorological Agency said there was no danger of a tsunami. Ishikawa’s prefectural police department is investigating reports of damaged buildings, Japan’s Jiji news agency reported.
