Showers easing over the country then rain, heavy at times, moving northwards across Wales, southern and central England. Windy in the south with coastal gales. Drier in the north with variable cloud and clear spells.
Friday:
Cloudy for most with rain or showers, heavy in south. Coastal gales here slowly easing. Mixed further north with some rain in the east, brighter with some showers in west.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Band of locally heavy rain will affect some western areas Saturday, eastern parts cloudy and cool. Drier Sunday and Monday with more in the way of bright or sunshine spells.
