Uae weather 04/04/2024: Heavy rain, thunder and lightning in parts of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain

Some parts of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain experienced heavy rain and thundershowers today. According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the weather will be “cloudy. Light to moderate rain is likely over some coastal areas, southern and eastern areas, especially during the day.”

The NCM has issued a yellow alert due to the possibility of rain. Al Watba, Al Shawameq in Abu Dhabi and Al Khasna in Al Ain reported moderate to heavy rainfall. Heavy rain with lightning and thunder was recorded in Madinat Saeed in Al Dhafra region. The interior regions of the country are expected to experience maximum temperatures between 32 and 36 degrees Celsius, coastal areas and islands will experience temperatures ranging from 28 to 32 degrees Celsius and mountains from 19 to 24 degrees Celsius.

Al Ain’s Raqna recorded the lowest temperature at 10.6 degrees Celsius at 6.30 am.

Overnight and Friday morning will be humid with fog forming over some coastal and inland areas, especially in the north. Light to moderate winds from southwest to northwest at times. The NCM has also forecast wind gusts of 10 to 35 kmph.

Sea conditions will be relatively calm in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Oman Sea.
