Strong Earthquake in Alaska; Tsunami Warning

A strong earthquake in the peninsula of Alaska in the United States. An earthquake measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale was reported. A tsunami warning has been issued in the region following the earthquake. The epicenter of the earthquake is about 89 kilometers southwest of the city of Sand Point.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 9.3 km from the surface. The earthquake occurred around 12.15 pm Indian time. Movement was felt in the Alaskan Peninsula, Aleutian Islands and nearby areas. Although there was a strong tremor, no casualties or damages were reported.
