Heavy rain will continue across northern and eastern parts of Scotland. Further heavy showers elsewhere. Then heavy rain arriving across southeast overnight, spreading to most areas by dawn. Staying windy.
Friday:
Staying very unsettled across much of the UK. Heavy rain affecting many parts, but especially the east. This combined with strong winds will lead to further disruption in places.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Low pressure dominating the weather pattern. Further heavy rain and strong winds are likely on Saturday and Sunday, though this should start to ease somewhat as we head into Monday.
