WATCH: Landslide in Joshimath Blocks Badrinath National Highway in Uttarakhand

In Uttarakhand, Chamoli Landslide have resulted in the closure of the Badrinath National Highway. The road is being prepared for use. At Joshimath’s Chungi Dhar, there was an incident in which boulders fell from a mountain.

Fortunately, nobody ventured into the path of the falling boulders from the mountain during this time. If not, a major mishap might have occurred. Today’s weather is pleasant following the monsoon’s onset in Joshimath, the border region of the Chamoli district. However, the highway’s boulders continue to fall from the hills. Because of this, there is a threat to individuals doing morning strolls alongside traveler vehicles.

On Tuesday morning, the Badrinath Highway near the garbage dump of the Chungi Dhar Municipality, which is Joshimath’s entrance, experienced a road blockage as a result of rock cracking. The hill’s rocks breaking and falling one at a time made a tremendous sound.

In any case, numerous traveler vehicles including a few nearby young people who had taken a morning stroll towards Jogi Dhara point had a close shave. On both sides of the highway, there was a long line of cars as the road was closed. Here, a JCB machine is working to remove the boulders and reopen the road.
