kerala summer rain 10/05/24: Heavy summer rains recorded: More than 10 cm of rainfall in more places
In Kerala, summer rains have intensified after May 8. Two weather stations yesterday reported more than 10 cm of summer rainfall. The state recorded the highest summer rainfall of the season yesterday. According to the state average, 17.1 mm of rainfall was recorded yesterday. However, the deficiency of summer rainfall continues in all the districts. The lack of summer rainfall continues to be severe in the northern districts.
Crossed 10 cm in two places
Thriprayar in Thrissur district received the highest rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 8.30 am today, according to the official data of the India Meteorological Department( IMD). It received 13.5 cm of rain. Thrithala in Palakkad district recorded 12 cm of rainfall. Mundakkayam received 9.7 cm of rain. In Shornur, the Personal Weather Station also recorded 9 cm of rainfall. Summer rains will continue
Earlier in the day, MetBeat Weather had announced that there would be rain at various places in Kerala till the middle of May. The summer rains are likely to increase in the forest areas along the eastern border of Kerala in the coming days. There will be rain in the coastal areas as well. Caution should be exercised as there is a possibility of strong winds and lightning along with rain.

With the rains in various areas, the heat also decreased. In Kerala, there is a decrease in the day temperature. There was not much change in the night temperature. There is a significant decrease in temperature in areas that have received rainfall. There is a possibility of rain in all the districts from Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur today. There is a possibility of rain in Idukki and Pathanamthitta districts in the afternoon.
