An earthquake of 4.2 magnitude struck West Khasi Hills in Meghalaya on Sunday evening at 7.53 pm. The depth of the earthquake was 10 km.
The tremor of the quake was felt in Guwahati city as well.
So far, no incidents of casualties have been reported as a result of the quake.
Taking to Twitter, the National Centre for Seismology wrote, “Earthquake of Magnitude:4.2, Occurred on 16-07-2023, 19:53:34 IST, Lat: 25.62 & Long: 91.36, Depth: 10 Km ,Location: West Khasi Hills, Meghalaya, India.”
