2.4 magnitude earthquake hits Karnataka

An earthquake of 2.4 magnitude was felt in Karnataka. The State Natural Disaster Monitoring Center (KSNDMC) informed that the earthquake occurred in Vijayapura district. The earthquake was felt at 09:55 am. The epicenter of the earthquake was 2.9 km southeast of Managuli in Basavana Bagewadi taluk. No damage was reported in the quake. KSNDMC added that the earthquake was of mild intensity and people need not panic.
