storm Isha update 22/01/24 : ബ്രിട്ടനില്‍ പ്രളയം വിതച്ച് ഇഷ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റ്, നാളെ മുതല്‍ ജോസ്ലിനും എത്തും
ബ്രിട്ടനില്‍ ഇഷ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് രണ്ടു മരണം. ശക്തമായ കാറ്റില്‍ മരം കാറിനു മുകളില്‍ വീണാണ് അപകടം. ബ്രിട്ടനിലെ ലണ്ടന്‍ഡെറി, ഗ്രേന്‍ഞ്ച്മൗത്ത് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലാണ് ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റ് നാശംവിതച്ചത്. കനത്തമഴയും കാറ്റും കാരണം നിരവധി വീടുകളില്‍ വൈദ്യുതി മുടങ്ങി. വടക്കന്‍ അയര്‍ലന്റ്, സ്‌കോട്‌ലന്റ്, വടക്കന്‍ ഇംഗ്ലണ്ട് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളില്‍ വൈദ്യുതി മുടങ്ങി.
കഴിഞ്ഞ 10-20 വര്‍ഷത്തിനിടെ ബ്രിട്ടനിലുണ്ടാകുന്ന ഏറ്റവും ശക്തമായ കാറ്റാണ് ഉണ്ടായതെന്ന് പ്രദേശവാസികള്‍ പറയുന്നു. മണിക്കൂറില്‍ 159 കി.മി വേഗത്തിലുള്ള കാറ്റാണ് വീശിയത്. ഇത്രയും വേഗത നോര്‍ത്തംബര്‍ലാന്റിലാണ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് സെല്ലാഫീല്‍ഡ് ആണവ സൈറ്റിലെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം മുന്‍കരുതലെന്നോണം നേരത്തെ നിര്‍ത്തിവച്ചിരുന്നു. പ്ലാന്റില്‍ സുരക്ഷാ പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങളില്ലെന്ന് ജീവനക്കാര്‍ അറിയിച്ചതായി സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ വൃത്തങ്ങള്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
സ്‌കോട്‌ലന്റിലെ ട്രെയിന്‍ സര്‍വിസുകള്‍ നിര്‍ത്തിവച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. കാലാവസ്ഥാ പ്രതികൂലമായതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം രാത്രിയാണ് സര്‍വിസുകള്‍ നിര്‍ത്തിയതെന്ന് നെറ്റ് വര്‍ക്ക് റെയില്‍ അറിയിച്ചു. എന്നാല്‍ ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിലും വെയില്‍സിലും ട്രെയിന്‍ സര്‍വിസുകള്‍ പതിവുപോലെ നടന്നു. ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിനു പിന്നാലെ മറ്റൊരു ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റുകൂടി രൂപപ്പെടാനിരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ജോയ്സ്ലിന്‍ എന്നാണ് ഇതിന്റെ പേര്. ബ്രിട്ടനിലും അയര്‍ലന്റിലും നാളെ മുതല്‍ ജോയ്സ്ലിന്റെ സ്വാധീനമുണ്ടാകുമെന്നാണ് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നത്.
ശക്തമായ കാറ്റിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് മാഞ്ചസ്റ്റര്‍- ഡബ്ലിന്‍ വിമാനം പാരിസിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചുവിട്ടു. ശക്തമായ കാറ്റിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഹെവി ലോറികളും മറിഞ്ഞു. മരം വീണും മറ്റും ഗതാഗതം തടസ്സപ്പെട്ടു. പ്രളയത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് പലയിടത്തും പ്രദേശങ്ങള്‍ ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ടു.
കാലാവസ്ഥാ വ്യതിയാനത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഇത്തവണ നേരത്തെയാണ് ബ്രിട്ടനില്‍ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റുകള്‍ സജീവമാകുന്നത്. ഇതിനകം ഇഷ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റ് വീശിയടിച്ചു. നാളെ മുതല്‍ ജോയ്‌സ്്‌ലിനും എത്തും. 2015 ലാണ് ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതല്‍ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റുകള്‍ ബ്രിട്ടനില്‍ ഉണ്ടായത്. 11 ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റുകളാണ് അന്ന് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്തത്.
യാത്രാ മുന്നറിയിപ്പുകള്‍ ജനങ്ങള്‍ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കണമെന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ഋഷി സുനക് പറഞ്ഞു. എല്ലാ എമര്‍ജന്‍സി സര്‍വീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ക്കും അദ്ദേഹം നന്ദി പറഞ്ഞു.

The Met Office‘s warnings related to Isha have lifted, but more have been issued for tomorrow ahead of newly-named Storm Jocelyn.

ScotRail’s customer operations director said Scotland’s services were expected to reopen gradually throughout early afternoon
Network Rail says a good service is expected in most areas of England and Wales after fallen trees and debris were cleared
In Northern Ireland, falling debris has also disrupted travel, including a tree that fell on the Lisburn train line, leaving some journeys cancelled, delayed or revised
Air travel
The storm led to flight delays and cancellations at airports around the UK. In Northern Ireland, there were reports of people being stranded for 10 hours
While things appear to have returned to normal for Northern Ireland’s airports, flights to airports across the UK could suffer knock-on delays after last night’s diversions
Among those affected, an easyJet flight from Edinburgh to Bristol was made to land in Paris and a Ryanair flight from Manchester to Dublin was diverted to a small town in northern France.
