A Trough formed from northern Karnataka to Gulf of Mannar has caused strong wind convergence over the eastern hilly regions from central Kerala to Kanyakumari, leading to the possibility of heavy rain with thunder in Kerala this afternoon.
Rain activity may increase in the south today. More rain is expected in the southern districts compared to previous days. There is a possibility of rain with thunder in the districts from Ernakulam southwards. Isolated rain will continue in northern Kerala as well.
