ദന ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റ് (cyclone Dana) ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ കരകയറി. ഒഡിഷയിലെ ധമാരക്കും ബിതർകാനികക്കും ഇടയിലാണ് മണിക്കൂറിൽ 100 – 110 കി.മി വേഗതയിൽ തീവ്ര ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റായി കര കയറിയത്. ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ 6 മണിയോടെയാണ് കരകയറൽ തുടങ്ങിയത്. രണ്ടു മണിക്കൂറിലേറെ സമയം നീണ്ടുനിൽക്കുന്നതാണ് ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിന്റെ കരകയറിൽ പ്രക്രിയ.

കരകയറിയ ശേഷം വടക്കൻ ഒഡീഷയിലൂടെ പടിഞ്ഞാറ് -വടക്ക് പടിഞ്ഞാറ് ദിശയിൽ ദന സഞ്ചരിക്കും. ഇന്ന് ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് മുൻപായി തീവ്ര ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റ് ശക്തി കുറഞ്ഞു ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റായി മാറും. തുടർന്നുള്ള മണിക്കൂറുകളിലും ശക്തി കുറയും. വ്യാഴാഴ്ച വൈകിട്ട് മുതൽ ഒഡീഷയിൽ അതിശക്തമായ മഴയാണ് തുടരുന്നത്. പലയിടത്തും തീവ്രമഴ റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തു. താഴ്ന്ന പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ വെള്ളം കയറി.

ഒഡിഷയിലെ തീരദേശ ജില്ലകളായ ബദ്റാക്, കേന്ദ്രപാറ, ബലാഷോർ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് 6 ലക്ഷം പേരെ മാറ്റിപ്പാർപ്പിച്ചു. ഈ മേഖലകളിൽ തീവ്ര മഴ ലഭിച്ചു. കരകയറും മുമ്പ് ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റ് മണിക്കൂറിൽ 12 കിലോമീറ്റർ വേഗതയിലാണ് സഞ്ചരിച്ചത്. അതിനാൽ കരകയറൽ പ്രക്രിയ പൂർത്തിയാകാൻ രണ്ടര മണിക്കൂർ എടുത്തു. ധമാരക്ക് 15 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയാണ് ദന കരകയറിയത്.

ഇന്നലെ രാവിലെ മുതൽ പാരദ്വീപിലെ ഡോപ്ലർ റഡാറിൽ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിന്റെ ചലനം ദൃശ്യമായിരുന്നു. വൈകിട്ടോടെ മേഘങ്ങൾ വൃത്താകൃതിയിൽ ചുറ്റുന്നത് കാണാനായി. ഈ റഡാർ ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ് ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിന്റെ പുരോഗതി വിലയിരുത്തിയത്. വിവിധ രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെ ഉപഗ്രഹങ്ങളും ചുഴലികാറ്റിനെ നിരീക്ഷിച്ചു.

ഒഡീഷയിൽ ജനങ്ങളെ മാറ്റി പറപ്പിക്കാനായി 5,209 ദുരിതാശ്വാസ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കിയിരുന്നു. 3,654 ഗർഭിണികളെ ഉൾപ്പെടെ ഇവിടേക്ക് മാറ്റി പാർപ്പിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് തൊട്ടടുത്ത ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്കും ഇവരെ മാറ്റി. ദന കര കയറുന്നതിന് 6 മണിക്കൂർ മുൻപ് തന്നെ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിന്റെ പുറം ഭാഗത്തുള്ള മേഘങ്ങൾ ഒഡീഷക്ക് മുകളിൽ എത്തിയിരുന്നു.

ശക്തമായ കാറ്റിൽ പലയിടത്തും മരങ്ങൾ കടപുഴകി വൈദ്യുതി വിതരണം തടസ്സപ്പെട്ടു. ഇന്നലെ വൈകിട്ട് 6 മണി മുതൽ കൊൽക്കത്ത വിമാനത്താവളം 15 മണിക്കൂർ നേരത്തേക്ക് അടച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ ഒമ്പതിന് ശേഷം വിമാനത്താവളം വീണ്ടും പ്രവർത്തനം ആരംഭിക്കും. ഇന്നലെ വൈകിട്ട് 5 മുതൽ ഒഡിഷയിലെ ബിജു പട്നായിക് അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര വിമാനത്താവളവും 16 മണിക്കൂർ നേരത്തേക്ക് അടച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

കിഴക്കൻ റെയിൽവേ 203 ട്രെയിൻ സർവീസുകൾ റദ്ദാക്കുകയോ വഴിതിരിച്ചുവിടുകയോ ചെയ്തു. പൊതുഗതാഗത സംവിധാനങ്ങളെയും ദന ബാധിച്ചു. ഫെറി സർവീസുകളും നിർത്തിവച്ചു. കേരളം വഴി സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന ട്രെയിനുകൾ സർവീസ് റദ്ദാക്കിയതിൽ പെടും. പല ട്രെയിനുകളും വൈകി ഓടുന്നു.

ബംഗാൾ ഉൾക്കടലിൽ നിന്ന് കരകയറിയ ദന ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റും അറബിക്കടലിൽ രൂപപ്പെട്ട ചക്രവാത ചുഴിയും കാരണം കേരളത്തിൽ ഇന്നും ശക്തമായ മഴയ്ക്ക് സാധ്യത. വൈകിട്ടു മുതൽ കിഴക്കൻ മലയോരങ്ങളിൽ ശക്തമായ മഴക്കും മലവെള്ളപ്പാച്ചിലിനും സാധ്യത. ഇന്നലെ മുതൽ കേരളത്തിന് മുകളിലൂടെ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിലേക്ക് അന്തരീക്ഷത്തിന്റെ താഴ്ന്ന, മധ്യ ഉയരങ്ങളിലെ കാറ്റ് പ്രവഹിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.
