The Exeter UK Met Office has announced that Storm Ciaran will bring heavy rain in addition to strong winds in England and Wales.
Started last week,The next storm will hit the UK coast before the heavy rain and thunderstorms are over. A warning has been issued for southern parts of the UK until Thursday.
A yellow alert has also been issued for Southern England, South West Wales, Northern Ireland, Central and North East Scotland.
Thunderstorms and rains are likely to be widespread from this evening onwards. Southern and Western regions are also likely to receive heavy rainfall of 40 to 60 mm.
The Environment Agency has issued 72 flood warnings as the weather worsens.
The Met Office is predicting widespread rainfall of 20 to 25mm across southern and western regions.
Winds are expected to gust up to 90mph. Meanwhile, the UK is being warned that the next storm will arrive before the misery caused by Storm Babette is over.
