uae weather updates 10/08/25: Temperatures to soar to 47°C today, rain and dust expected
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather forecast for the UAE on August 10 (today), with temperatures expected to reach highs of 47°C in some inland areas. The weather will be fair to partly cloudy, with convective (rainy) clouds likely to form in the eastern and southern regions, which could lead to showers, the NCM said.
Maximum temperatures in the inland areas are expected to range from 43°C to 47°C, while coastal and island areas are expected to see highs of between 40°C and 44°C. In mountainous areas, temperatures will be slightly lower, between 32°C and 38°C. AccuWeather Dubai’s forecast confirms the extreme conditions, indicating that the daytime ‘real-feel’ temperature will be 46°C.
The extreme heat is expected to be accompanied by increased humidity overnight and on Monday morning. This increases the risk of fog formation, especially in coastal and inland areas.
The NCM predicts light to moderate winds during the day, with occasional dust clouds. This will reduce visibility. Sea temperatures in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will remain mild. Authorities advise residents to limit outdoor activities during the high heat and take necessary precautions against dust.
