Uae weather updates 09/08/25: Temperatures to hit 48°C in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with rain possible in the east and south
The UAE is experiencing a scorching heat today. It will be hot and sunny. According to AccuWeather, Dubai will see a high of 42°C and misty sunshine. The current temperature is 35°C, while tonight’s weather will remain very hot and cloudy. It will drop slightly to 34°C.
Abu Dhabi is experiencing even hotter weather. With daytime temperatures reaching 45°C, there is a risk of dehydration and heatstroke. Currently, the capital is experiencing a high of 37°C. Tonight’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and a high of 34°C at night.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast clear to partly cloudy weather across the UAE today, with the possibility of convective clouds forming, especially in the eastern and southern regions, which could lead to localised rainfall this afternoon.

Mountains: 32–38°C
Wind and sea conditions:
Partly cloudy, with light to moderate winds possible at times. Dust storms are possible in the southeast to northeast parts of the country, with gusts of up to 40 km/h. Light seas are expected in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Residents are urged to avoid prolonged sun exposure in high temperatures, stay hydrated, and follow safety guidelines.
