UAE Scorches at 49°C After Showers in Dubai and Al Ain – Will More Rain Fall Today?
Following unexpected rainfall in parts of Dubai and Al Ain yesterday, many residents are wondering if more rain is on the horizon. According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the UAE is set for another intensely hot summer day, though the chance of more showers hasn’t been ruled out.
Forecasts predict generally fair to partly cloudy skies, with inland temperatures soaring to a scorching 49°C. The NCM also issued an advisory for possible convective cloud development—especially over the eastern and southern regions by the afternoon—which could result in isolated rain.
Coastal and island regions can expect highs between 40°C and 45°C, while mountainous areas will be relatively cooler, ranging from 33°C to 39°C.
Humidity levels are expected to rise overnight and into Wednesday morning, particularly along the coast, which may lead to fog or mist forming and drifting from the southeast to the northwest. Winds will remain light to moderate at 10–25 km/h but may intensify to 40 km/h during the day, potentially stirring up dust and reducing visibility in some areas.
Sea conditions will remain calm, with slight waves forecast in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Authorities are advising residents to stay well-hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure during peak afternoon hours, and drive with caution in areas affected by fog or dust.
