uae weather updates 03/08/25: Rain likely in some areas; Temperatures to hit 49ºC

Residents of some parts of the UAE can expect rain on Sunday (August 3). The maximum temperature on Friday was 51.8. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said that the weather will be milder today.

The weather department has said that rain is expected to continue for the next few days. On Sunday, the sky will be clear to partly cloudy. There is a possibility of some convective clouds forming in the east and south in the afternoon. This may lead to rain.
Despite the rain forecast, the overall weather will still be hot. Temperatures in the interior will range between 44°C and 49°C. Dubai residents will experience a maximum of 45°C and a minimum of 33°C. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi will experience a minimum of 34°C and a maximum of 47°C. The mercury in Sharjah will range between 32°C and 45°C.

The Department of Meteorology has forecast that some coastal western areas will experience high humidity and the possibility of fog formation on Sunday night and Monday morning. The humidity will reach a maximum of 90 per cent in coastal and island areas.

The winds will be light to moderate from the southeast to northeast. It will be fresh at times and will cause dust clouds to blow across the country. The winds will be light at 10-25 kmph, gusting to 40 kmph.

The sea will be light to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
