Heavy pre- monsoon showers likely from May 4th in Kerala
There is a reasonably good chance of the MJO showing amplitude starting May 3rd. The equatorial low pressure zone has started aligning south of the equator and atmospheric instability is favourable for thunderstorms over Kerala from 3rd May 2024. People can get relief from the oppressive heatwave compounded by nearly 90% plus humidity which is dangerous to the health of the old and the weak. The current intense heatwave may continue for 3-4 days more.
