ഉയരുന്ന താപനില ഓരോ വര്ഷവും 5,50,000 പേരുടെ മരണത്തിന് കാരണമാകുന്നതായി ദ ലാന്സെറ്റില് പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് പറയുന്നു. 1990കളില് നിന്ന് 2025ലേക്ക് എത്തുമ്പോള് ഉയരുന്ന താപനില മൂലമുള്ള മരണങ്ങളില് 63 ശതമാനത്തിന്റെ കുതിപ്പുണ്ടായി.
