മൂന്നടിയോളം വെള്ളമാണ് രണ്ട് ദിവസത്തിനിടയിൽ അണക്കെട്ടിൽ ഉയർന്നത്. അണക്കെട്ടിൽ നിലവിലെ റൂൾ കർവ് പ്രകാരം തമിഴ്നാടിന് 142 അടിവരെ വെള്ളം സംഭരിക്കാനാകും. അണക്കെട്ടിലേക്ക് 4000 ഘനയടി വെള്ളം ഒഴുകിയെത്തുന്നു.
