ജില്ലകളിൽ മഴയുടെ ലഭ്യതയിൽ വലിയ വ്യത്യാസമാണ് കാണുന്നത്. പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലയിലാണ് ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ കുറവ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്, 61 ശതമാനം. ഇത് വരൾച്ച (Drought-like condition) സാധ്യത ഉയർത്തുന്നുവെന്ന് കണക്കാക്കുന്നു.
